A Weekend in Waco Texas

The weekend of September 6th Elsie and I attended a workshop with Bruce Dorn in Waco Texas.  The workshop focused on fine art and painted portraiture.  We had a lot of  fun, a gain much inspiration.

Painted Portrait and the Spaghetti Dinner.

Today I completed this beautiful painted portrait of Jill’s family. I love the feeling in the unity of family captured in this portrait.

The portrait will be part of my display at the Lariette annual fund raiser diner held on Sep. 5th in the commons of Coppell Hight School. Please show your support for our local team and stop by for some yummy good spaghetti and a fun time.

Its official, on August 18, 2008 I was awarded my Certified Professional Photographer Certificate from the Professional Photographers of America.

The Professional Photographic Certification Commission is the leading body for certifying imaging professionals. Certified Professional Photographers must complete a written examination, and image evaluations, and adhere to a stringent code of conduct. There are less than 2,000 Certified Professional Photographers.

Faye & Warren

This past Sunday on a warm night I meet Faye and Warren along with their Mom and Dad for their first family portrait session in many years. The last time the family portrait was taken Warren was not even alive! This was my favored one of the children. This portrait along with the family portrait will be among the ones I will feature during the Lariette’s annual fund raiser event on September 5th.

Elsie My Love

I just finished a beautiful painting of my wife in her wedding dress on the day of our wedding. I presented it to her as an early birthday present to hang in our bedroom. Now, every morning when she wakes up she is reminded of one of the happiest days of her life, which fulfilled a life-long dream.

Garratt & Emma

I had the great pleasure to meet Garratt and his big sister Emma. They where such a joy to photograph! I was able to capture many images that their loving parents are proud of and display both at home and work. I'm sure in the future both of them will cherish these portraits of them together as brother and sister.
